Want to express your creativity? Got something to say? Do it in a blog and impress your grandkids (or confuse your grandparents)... Here is a quick intro:

1. Log in
2. Ensure the control panel is shown at the top and that you are in edit mode
3. Add a page, and select Blogs as the parent page
4. From that new page's control panel (at the top) select Module: Blog; set Title: to MyName's Blog; and click the Add button. This will add about five modules to the page.
5. Click the down arrow next to each module, In Module Settings you can create sub-blogs if you wish to comment on distinct topics and keep those posts segregated. There are more settings we can document as the need arises.
6. Selecting Add Bog Entry will let you write your own commentary. Once written, it should show up on the site's home page, the main Blog page and your new page.
7. You can move these Modules around on the page any time you are signed in and in edit mode.

Some confusing things about the blog system:

• Blogs are sitewide, and stored in a central DB. Adding a blog on a new page is NOT distinct from the other blogs on the site.
• Adding a blog to a page actually adds about 5 modules to the page. Then one can delete the modules one doesn’t need and move/rename the others to where you do want them.
• Making a selection on one of those modules will often affect what blogs are displayed in other modules.
• There is one blog per user (i.e., per login) – however your blog can have multiple sub-blogs under your parent blog.
• As elsewhere on the site, be careful copying text into the site from any Microsoft Office application as it uses fancy XHTML codes that generally confuses any other application. To paste text from Word or Outlook, click the "Paste from Word" icon
  
  and paste your text into that dialog first.
